PRACTICAL IT / CLEARLY SCOPED PROJECTS

A specific problem.
A sensible
next step.

Work that fits
your business.

JPS Mission Systems helps small businesses resolve technology problems, improve system reliability, and prepare for growth through clearly scoped IT projects.

Our initial focus is office-based professional-services businesses with roughly 10–40 computer users and no dedicated internal IT leader.

THREE AREAS OF FOCUS

Useful improvements.
Clear boundaries.

01

Network and Office Reliability

Troubleshooting and clearly scoped improvements to business networks, Wi-Fi, shared resources, and related office infrastructure. Start with a recurring connection problem or office technology that gets in the way of daily work.

02

Systems, Access, and Security Basics

Defined improvements to Windows environments, employee access, onboarding and offboarding, administrative practices, and patching. Agree on the systems and everyday protections included in the project.

03

IT Assessments and Modernization

Practical reviews, prioritized findings, documentation, and planned improvements. Clarify system ownership or backup responsibilities, or prepare for an office move, expansion, or upgrade.

HOW AN ENGAGEMENT WORKS

From the first question
to a checked result.

Understand the problem → agree on the scope → implement carefully → verify and document the result.

01Understand the problem

Start with a project conversation about what is happening, who it affects, and what you need to accomplish. When the problem is sufficiently clear, we move to a proposal. When meaningful investigation is required, we offer a separately scoped paid assessment before quoting implementation.

02Agree on the scope

The proposal defines deliverables, exclusions, responsibilities, timing, fees, and the checks we will use to confirm completion. Pricing is based on the actual scope. Any additional work needs an agreed scope change.

03Implement carefully

Confirm authorized access, appropriate backups and rollback preparation, and approval before disruptive changes. Schedule the work around the agreed plan and keep you informed when a finding affects it.

04Verify and document the result

Check the agreed acceptance criteria with you. Hand over the changes, supporting findings, and remaining questions, then remove temporary access as agreed.

Engagements are scoped projects. Support coverage and any work after completion must be agreed separately.
